The Secondary Choir is currently seeking passionate singers who have a love for music. This year, our choir is embarking on a captivating journey through a diverse repertoire, guided by an accomplished vocalist, Ms. Hilda Lam. Together, we aim to create a positive impact within our vibrant community through the power of music. Rehearsals are held weekly every Thursday after school, providing a platform for you to refine your singing skills and enjoy the musical endeavour throughout the year.
Conductor - Ms Hilda Lam
Renowned for her “colourful vocal palette and touching artistry” (Opera Canada), Hilda's stage credits include appearances in opera, operetta, and musical theatre, such as Adele in DIE FLEDERMAUS; Christine Daae in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and Zerlina in DON GIOVANNI. She has also successfully established herself as a cross-over singer after receiving multiple awards at the 2021 Solid Gold Singing Competition in Vancouver: including 1st place Champion, Best Voice, Best Stage Act, and Audience Favourite. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance, and further completed a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance at the University of Western Ontario, graduating with distinction. She is also a recipient of numerous scholarships, most notably the Wirth Institute of Austrian and Central European Studies Vocal scholarship, in support of her vocal studies in Austria.

Audition arrangement:
Format: face-to-face audition, 10 min during lunchtime
Please prepare the following
a) Brief singer Introduction
b) 1 min solo WITH or WITHOUT accompaniment
c) Singers will learn and perform a 30 sec excerpt on the spot
