Every Thursday 3:15-4:15pm, K2 Basement
Year 2-3 students who can play any string instrument (violin, viola, cello, double bass)

The Junior String Ensemble extends a warm invitation to all Year 2-3 students who can play a string instrument. This talented group rehearses on a weekly basis for rehearsals preparing for a series of performances at school concerts and events. It is strongly recommended that students who choose to join the Junior String Ensemble also engage in private instrumental lessons outside of ensemble rehearsals, as it will greatly enhance their musical development.
Conductor - Mr James Chan
James Chan has taught in a variety of community and educational settings in London and Hong Kong. He studied law and music performance at the University of East Anglia and furthered his music studies at Triniy Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the instruction of Diana Cummings. After completing his master's degree in Music Education and Performance, he began his teaching career in London.

Audition arrangement:
Format: face-to-face
Time: during In-school Hours
Please prepare the following for the orchestra audition:
- ONE music piece student’s own choice of 2-3 minutes
- Grade 2 or equivalent

Enroll via the school app to enter the audition by 23 August. Parents will receive an email notification with the audition details.
