Every Tuesday 3:15-4:15pm, K11 Basement

Year 4-6 students who can play any orchestral instrument

The Primary Orchestra serves as the main instrumental ensemble of the upper primary section. We welcome musicians of all levels who have demonstrated potential in orchestral playing to join us. It is highly recommended that students who join the Primary Orchestra have their own instrumental lesson outside of ensemble rehearsals. Orchestra members are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances throughout the year, ensuring a commitment to the ensemble's collective musical growth and success.

Conductor - Ms Tiffany Cheng

Tiffany started learning viola at the age of 8. She has received professional training in the String division of Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts (HKAPA), majoring viola. She later pursued her bachelor of music in viola performance at the Royal College of Music, London, Tiffany has enormous performance experience with various orchestras such as the Hong Kong Music Academy, HKAPA Symphony Orchestra and more.

Other than orchestras, Tiffany enjoys performing in smaller musical settings as well. She performed in various masterclasses. She is actively involved in chamber music and performs in chamber concerts in College. Tiffany has worked closely with schools for music development and education, including Yew Chung International School and Humen Foreign Language School.

Audition arrangement:

Format: face-to-face

Time: during In-school Hours

Please prepare the following for the orchestra audition:

  1. ONE major/minor scale of the student’s own choice
  2. ONE music piece student’s own choice of 2-3 minutes

Notes:

- Students are NOT required to play by memory.

- Students are expected to bring in their own instruments, except for the following instruments: piano, double bass, percussion

1.  學生自選一個大調/小調

2. 學生自選一首2-3分鐘的樂曲

注意事項：

- 學生無需憑記憶演奏。

- 除了以下樂器：鋼琴、低音提琴、打擊樂器，學生需要自行攜帶樂器。

 

Enroll via the school app to enter the audition by 23 August. Parents will receive an email notification with the audition details.
