Get ready to rock out with our rising musicians in the YCIS Rock Band! The Rock Band features soaring guitar riffs, groovy bass lines, throbbing drumbeats, melodic keyboards, and powerhouse vocals. Take the stage with these young, talented, and highly motivated teens and capture the sound of rock and pop music.
Teacher-in-Charge: Mr Vidit Tanwar
Vidit Tanwar is a professional guitarist and composer with a degree in music from the University of West London. He has teaching experience of over seventeen years in various prestigious international schools with Cambridge and IBDP curriculums. As a performing musician, Vidit has toured as a lead guitarist for various established bands in India. He enjoys combining Indian Classical music with Progressive Rock music to create a unique style based on Raga-based melodies and complex rhythms. As a composer, Vidit has written scores for various short films and feature films in India. As a life-long learner, Vidit strives to learn different styles of music and incorporate that knowledge into his performance and compositions.

Format: video submission
A short piece of own choice (2-3 mins), ABRSM Grade 4 or above. Submit video online by 28 August, 2023 at 5:00pm
